Inspiration
Our president, Stuart Bassine started a company, Medical Repair Service, in 1988. He serviced oxygen concentrators from all different makes and models. While working on these, he realized something. Anyone who could move these machines was healthy enough not be on them! He thought it was time that the patient had rights instead of having to solely rely on their oxygen provider.
Two years later, his idea came to life with the creation of OxLife Inc. and in 1998, the birth of the OxLife Excel. This oxygen concentrator, weighing only 28 lbs, could do everything the larger units could do and more! The Excel could run off of 110 volts in the house or it could be plugged into 12 volt current in the car with a simple inverter kit.
Freedom
With this invention, freedom was given back to oxygen users. No longer were they weighted down with large, heavy, oxygen devices. The OxLife line continues to grow. Currently, there are plans for the creation of a new concentrator, the Oxife VLR Traveler, that will run on a battery, produce 3 liters of continuous flow oxygen per minute and weigh less than 15 lbs.
Service
Our company is still family owned and operated today. We realize the importance of customer service, both with our equipment and with our staff and we will do everything we can to ensure our customers are treated fairly and with the respect they deserve.
